“If they won’t write the kind of books we like to read, we shall have to write them ourselves.”
- C. S. Lewis
The goal of Beow’s is to help facilitate the great conversation. That vision extends beyond providing the space where that conversation happens, and the food and drink it happens around; Beow’s wants to help create the conversation itself.
To that end we founded Beow’s Publishing House. Our goal is to promote goodness, truth, and beauty by producing high quality written works of both fiction and nonfiction. We want to publish books that believe in the value of goodness, books that are clearly reasoned and rooted in truth, and books that draw people’s focus to the reality of beauty. In short, we wish to publish works that aspire to things higher and nobler, and that bring their readers along with them.
We are open to material aimed at both children and adults and are open to most genres of fiction. This includes literary, historical, mystery, fantasy, and science fiction among others. In nonfiction we are open to works on philosophy, culture, history, religion, and spirituality. At this time our intent is to publish short print runs of works that are around 100 pages, but we are happy to discuss the specifics on an individual basis. Our publishing house provides assistance with editing and marketing and is equally happy to help polish a finished manuscript to perfection or assist a promising first draft to its completion.
Inquiring authors should submit a query letter outlining the premise of their work, sharing a bit about themselves, and explaining why they think their book is a good fit for our publishing house.
